This is not the writing day I counted on when I made my plans for the week but, in a lot of ways, it’s better. As I write this, Charlotte is on the couch nearby, quietly reading library books to herself. Warren is sitting upright on the floor- a newly acquired skill- playing with a children’s piano toy. Classical music plays throughout our home, and the morning sunshine peeks through our blinds leaving stripes along the wall.
